Wooam’s Smart ICE (IHD : In Home Display) is the equipment installed in every home to monitor power consumption status. Traditionally, information regarding power consumption has been limited to power generating companies, therefore, consumer insensibility to power reduction has been unavoidable. However, by sharing power status with consumers and providing consulting data regarding power consumption reduction in attempt to reduce energy consumption, it is possible for individual consumers to practice power saving. In the future, a variety of consumer convenience services relating to power shall be implemented and supported to maintain free communications with power generating companies and customer service centers.

‘Smart ICE’는 본사의 IHD(In Home Display) 제품 이름입니다.
Smart ICE는 일반 가정에서 전력소비현황에 대해 모니터링 할 수 있는 스마트에너지 제품이다.
기존 전력소비현황에 대한 전력정보는 전력 발전사들만이 가질 수 있는 편향적인 정보구조를 가지고 있으며, 이러한 전력정보구조는 소비자의 전력절감 행동을 유도하는데 한계가 있다.
Smart ICE는 이러한 소비자의 전력정보를 지원하고 실천적인 절약행동을 유발할 수 있도록 정보를 제공한다.
이에 한발 더 나아가, 소비자로 하여금 현재 전력소비현황 또는 전력요금과 절약 가능한 전력소비 컨설팅 정보를 제공하여 다양한 절약행동을 유도할 수 있다.
향후에는 전력과 관련한 다양한 소비자 편의 서비스가 시행되며 이를 소비자에게 알리고, 발전사 또는 고객서비스센터와의 자유로운 커뮤니케이션을 이루어 갈 수 있도록 지원될 것이다.
